Ignite Training has been accredited as a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) training provider, meaning internationally recognised qualifications can be delivered by its facilitators and trainers.

The accreditation has been granted following a six-month process which scrutinised Ignite’s present operation including content and materials, quality control measures, feedback, delivery and partner engagement.

It means Ignite will broaden its portfolio of education programmes. Trainers and facilitators can now deliver to new and existing employees of UK-based organisations by combining CMI qualifications with its existing apprenticeship offering in leadership and management at Level 3 and Level 5.

The CMI qualifications can be delivered independently of the apprenticeship route for all organisation, from SMEs to those with global reach who are looking to invest in their team’s leadership and management qualities.

Learners who enrol onto CMI approved courses via Ignite will also unlock access to the institution’s online resource portal which provides video, checklist, e-learning and publication tools to support development.

Neville Algar, Head of Education at Ignite Training, said: “This is a significant step in the right direction to establish Ignite Training as a quality training provider specialising in enhancing employees’ leadership and management skills.

“With the capability to now deliver CMI qualifications in Leadership and Management from award/certificate through to diploma level, our team can provide a clear development programme for organisations to invest in their teams and deliver cost-effective qualifications which are internationally recognised and support business growth.

“Cultural, behavioural and leadership complications within teams are more common than people might assume. Qualifications and modules on CMI approved courses help address these issues and boost not only business productivity but individual career prospects too.”

Established in 1947, the CMI works with businesses and education providers to enhance the management and leadership skillsets of new and existing employees while boosting confidence.

Its programmes are proven to boost employability by providing learners with the management and leadership skills required to succeed with learning available both in-person and online.

Ignite’s existing Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager apprenticeship aligns with the CMI’s Leadership and Management Principles Level 5 Diploma, which is the equivalent of a foundation degree or Higher National Diploma (HND). The programme provides a cost effective way of developing senior management teams given that between 95 per cent and 100 per cent of the cost can be funded for all types of organisations in the UK.

Neville added: “Enrolling colleagues onto CMI approved courses/qualifications not only helps an organisation attract and retain talent, but also benchmarks training standards within sectors.

“Development sessions are entirely flexible and are delivered on a step-by-step basis, so the delivery of course content can fit seamlessly with normal day to day business operations and while meeting the core requirements of an organisation.

“We’d be more than happy to hear from business leaders wishing to invest in the leadership and management skillsets of their employees and explain how tailored training aligned to their own needs and values can help establish a fit and competent workforce for the future.”
